Frequently asked questions
How do I add my club?
Download the app, register with your email address and follow the steps to set up your club profile. The first person to register becomes the club admin and can approve additional members.
Can multiple people manage the same club?
Yes. Once your club is set up, other members can search for your club and request to join. The club admin approves them. All approved members can send and receive fixture requests.
How does the matching engine work?
When you search for a fixture, Rugby Matchmaker finds clubs within one level of your team's level, sorted by distance. You can expand the search range if you need more options.
What happens after I send a fixture request?
The receiving club gets a notification. They can accept or decline. If accepted, both clubs agree on kick-off time and venue through the in-app chat before confirming the fixture.
Is it really free during launch?
Yes — clubs who join during our 3-day launch window get completely free access until January 2027. No payment details required upfront. After the launch window closes, new clubs pay £99/year.
Which levels of rugby does the app support?
Rugby Matchmaker supports all levels of rugby across England, Scotland and Wales — from top regional clubs down to social and veteran sides. Mini and junior sections are fully supported, from Under 7s through to Under 18s.
Can I search for clubs outside my level?
By default, Rugby Matchmaker matches you with clubs within one level of your team. You can expand your search range if you want more options — ideal for social sides or when fixtures are hard to find late in the season.
